The artisans Juana Acero, from the Organization Unión Llavín from Puno, and Victoria Mayta, from Grupo Antiguo of Azangaro, visited Lima. They were invited to participate in the workshop seminar “This is how changes are made; learning in networks” on gender and economy to influence public policies. They also came to visit handicrafts centers.
This internship was organized by Manuela Ramos and Repem Peru, with the support of Fondoempleo. They had three very intense working days. It was also their first visit to the capital of Peru. They are now part of a network of successful women entrepreneurs. Together, they will look for ways to improve their businesses and negotiate support from local authorities. These fellow women will also have the responsibility of replicating everything they worked on during the internship in the meeting of leaders and promoters of the Extended Opportunities Project, which will be held on April 14, 15 and 16 in Chucuito, Puno.
