Pomata on the banks of Lake Titicaca in Puno

The district of Pomata in Chucuito-Puno is located on the banks of Lake Titicaca, at 3,863 m.a.s.l. It offers a beautiful and relaxing landscape, appropriate for meditation, which is why it is also known as the “Philosophical Balcony of the High Plateau”.
Its main tourist attraction is the temple of Saint James Apostle, dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries, an architectonic gem of the baroque-mestizo style. It is a true filigree artwork in stone, with impressive altars in gold leaf, in excellent conservation state.
In this beautiful district, we find several handicrafts groups supported by Manuela Ramos.
