Women leaders receive training in Puno

Movimiento Manuela Ramos, jointly with the Provincial Municipality of Azangaro, organized the first workshop entitled “Strengthening business management capacities of handicrafts productive groups.” The workshop targeted 19 women leaders from various handicrafts associations that Manuela Ramos supports in the region with resources from Fondoempleo, with the following aims:

• To strengthen women leaders’ skills and capacities to handle business management concepts, criteria and techniques.
• To consolidate capacities of handicrafts productive organizations in legalization, so they may insert themselves in the formal market and trade their products in various markets.

Internship in Juli- Puno

As part of the project “Expanding opportunities for the sustainable economic participation of women in Puno”, there was an internship in the Bartolina de Olla Association of Juli. Women leaders from the four handicrafts organizations of the Azangaro province participated in the experience. The aim was to acquire experience and to exchange handicrafts products. Women were strengthened and felt greatly encouraged to carry out new ideas to improve their associations.
